FGCA 1999 Strategic Plan
Prepared by the Sanford Consulting Group
Implimentation
The purpose of implementation is to complete the transition from strategic planning to strategic management by incorporating adopted strategies throughout the relevant system.
Developing effective programs, projects, action plans, budgets, and implementation processes will bring life to the strategies and create real value for the organization and its stakeholders.
The benefits of implementation include successful goal achievement, avoidance of causes of failure, support for legitimacy of leadership, external justification and heightened self-esteem and self-confidence. Avoiding failure is of particular concern. There must be a champion of the Plan that provides support. Resistance to change could cause the Plan's implementation to fail.
