FGCA 1999 Strategic Plan
Prepared by the Sanford Consulting Group
Evaluation
Annually, the Florida Government Communicators Association's Strategic Plan must be carefully examined and judged on its progress.
Indicators should be relied upon to determine the success or failure of a strategy and whether certain strategies should be maintained, reformulated or terminated.
If strategies have not been effective or the situation has changed, it may be necessary to identify new strategic issues and modify or eliminate particular strategies.
The evaluation process addresses how and when the plan is to be revisited, reviewed and revised.
Evaluation of the Strategic Plan
STEP 1:
The Strategic Planning Committee (SPARC) assumes the responsibility of the
Association's Long Range Planning Committee. The SPARC reassesses the
FGCA Strategic Plan each spring following adoption.
STEP 2:
The SPARC focuses on the Plan's indicators to determine effectiveness. Through
meetings and correspondence, the SPARC examines whether strategies have been
productive. New strategic issues, strategies and indicators will be developed appropriately.
STEP 3:
The SPARC formally reports its findings to the FGCA Board of Directors
at the first board meeting each fall.
