Who is FGCA (Florida Government Communicators Association)?
Since 1989, the Florida Government Communicators Association has been the premier communication organization for those involved in governments, special districts, and other public service roles.
Dollar for dollar, the FGCA membership is the most valuable membership for local government and allied agency communicators. Members learn and share best practices from communication professionals in both the public and private sectors and also gain invaluable networking with peers.
FGCA Membership
The mission statement of FGCA states that members meet to exchange ideas and learn from experts how to perform their job more effectively.
The members of the Florida Government Communicators Association are employees whose sole or major duty is to communicate information about local, regional (whose jurisdiction is within the state), or state government or agency.
FGCA members receive access to the memerbship portal of the website, which includes member directory, message board access to members for assistance in any matter; and discounts to meetings and training seminars.
Our trainings and conferences are held in locations to encourage as many members as possible to attend.

- Professional member
(Individual regular membership, stays with member; non-transferrable to other agency personnel)

(Individual regular membership, paid for by the agency, transferrable to other agency personnel)

Our membership dues, as well as fees for seminars and conferences, are among the lowest around.
- Regular member ($60)
Government employees whose major duties are in the government communications field.
- Associate member ($35)
Government employees who do not have government communications as their major duty; or who are activly looking for a job in government communications; or students/interns interested in government communications as a profession; or former members of FGCA.
